How to Navigate Writing Commons

Using Writing Commons is a little different than reading a print book or your average website. Our articles may have dozens of hyperlinks, and all that can be a bit distracting. It’s easy to get lost in our 1,000+ articles.

In order to make the most of your time at Writing Commons, we encourage you not to select every hyperlink in an article. Instead, you should double click when you’re unsure about what a word or concept means.

You may navigate Writing Commons by selecting the hyperlinks to articles that interest you. Alternatively you may

  1. click through the artists as your interests dictate
  2. consult the Site Map for a detailed listing of contents
  3. use the Search tool
