Exigency

Humans are using generative AI and predictive AI to transform research, composing, collaborative, problem-solving processes — and more. These technological changes alter how we research, think, and interact with another. More broadly, they alter conventions — such as what constitutes a professional writing style or an academic writing style.

Writing Prompt

Research These Questions:

1. How is AI changing — or likely to change — communication practices in the workplace?
2. What are some of the affordances and constraints of those changes?
3. What do college graduate needs to know about AI in the workplace?

Requirements/Deliverables

Write an annotated bibliography of four sources, including the following three sources. Strategically search for one additional reputable source that examines AI’s impact on workforce competencies in a profession like accounting, data analytics, or marketing.

Requirements

Add the word count at the top of page. Each annotation should be at least 150 words long. In total, not counting sources, you should have at least 600 words. Provide the bibliographical information for the source as the heading for each source. Create a link to the source. You can do this pointing to it online if it’s open access. Otherwise you need to download it and drop it in a gFolder and then link to that.
